Guess What?!

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Yup...we are sick again :-( Poor little dude can't catch a break. He had a fever this morning of 101.1, than had an afternoon temp of 103.8 and pretty much stayed that way till his 6:15pm dr's appointment. Motrin only helped him a little. Turns out he has pink eye AND another ear infection. NICE! Poor little guy.

We did play a little today...
But...it wore off fast....

Nightly Routine

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Our Nightly routine consist of snacks of "bits", aka GRAPES, a dvd of Sesame Street (usually sing your self silly...which I HIGHLY recommend), tubby/jammie time, and dancing. I had so much fun snapping pictures of Ger and Cameron having grapes together singing Jellyman Kelly (James Taylor) along with the dvd. It was toooooo cute...Of course sometimes we get some cuddling in...

Than of course, there is the I want to help clean up time...

Thaannnnnn, there is the I'm gonna act cute so I don't have to go to bed part

Kisses good night!

Newness....

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

1. I added a little blip on the left side of this page. I have been getting emails asking what kind of camera I use. So I decided to add all that information to the left. Enjoy!

2. Got to see the most beautiful little newborn girl today...via the "eye" cam on Ger's PS3. Cameron loved seeing a baby on 50' tv in our living room, loved seeing Jordan and Uncle Brian and Aunt Steph...he just thought it was too neat.

3. Ummm...ummm....Still eating all my goodies. I predict that about 5 lbs will need to be lost in the coming weeks.

4. New header...what do you think?

Nothing else new...just leave me comments and make me feel loved!!!!

Basking in goodness

MmmmmmMmmmmMmmmmm
Birthday cake (which happens to be the same as my wedding cake), Pizelles, Sponge Candies, A BIG Bowel of chocolate...I was spoiled with lots of goodies from all the wonderful people around me...
Ger is up at Brian's seeing his new god-daughter, so I am sitting here, Cameron is napping, and I am basking in a goodness of high calorie treats that just put a huge smile on my face....

On a separate note...I was taking pictures of Cameron in his toy room...its great having white walls in there...its like a built in backdrop :) He was watching Ger hang up a cross in his toy room above his door.

Good boy!

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

He's so good to me...poses so well...

Today Cameron was actually really good. We have been going through terrible temper tantrums. Full blown, throw your self on the floor, kick and scream, hysterically cry non stop, hit and smack, temper tantrums. It was really starting to get old. Today though, he was a little prince, just playing with us and I loved it!

Big Round Belly...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

I'm just in love with this big round belly. Its just way too cute. When he has a messy day at daycare, after dinner, before tubby, I let him run around without his shirt on. The belly just makes me want to giggle, its just to darn cute...

Baby & Potty

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

New Pictures of "mamase" (mason) from last night...
He has become such a vocal little thing. Lots of grunts now :) Sooo cute.

Ugh, that SaSa and her darn camera...
Hey you! Yeah you with the black box in front of your face....

We decided to go and get Cameron some potty stuff just to introduce things to him. Let him have a feel with it. He thought it was neat but didn't really know what to make of it. He thought it was more fun to sit and play and flush. He even thought the elmo underware was nifty. Hopefully he will show more and more interest in it. We will get him a tiny potty soon and let him try that.

First Day Back...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Today was Cameron's first day back to daycare. Thankfully he did good. He was SO excited to get back to playing. As soon as I pulled into the driveway there he was screaming with glee. As soon as we walked in, he ran to his teachers and hugged them. They missed him just as much too I think.

Other than our 3 times a day neubulizer treatments we are pretty much back to normal. The only battle we have left is diaper rash. I am not talking about your regular diaper rash, I'm talking about legs shaking, blood curdling scream, painful diaper rash. I feel so bad for him. He walks like a cowboy with chaps on. Its so sad. Hopefully the cream the Dr gave him will help clear this up. But all is okay once we get dog dog in our hands...

Feelin' Better...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So we went to the dr's yesterday and the ear infection has cleared up. So that was nice news. They even took Cameron off the antibiotic which was making him a mess...very bad mess. So tomorrow we start our first day back at daycare, but this time, with neubulizer treatments. I'm curious to see how this goes.

Does this face not scream I FEEL BETTER!?!?

Cameron Update

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

We are still doing our neubulizer treatments and getting oral steroids and antibiotics daily. Attitude wise....we are back! He still seems to get sleepy pretty fast but other than that, he's doing wonderful! We are going to talk to the pediatrician today to see if we can let him go back to daycare tomorrow. Its now a little after 8am and he is STILL sleeping since 7pm last night. When we hear from the Dr, I will update more than...hopefully I can actually take a picture of my little dude.

The Big Story...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Okay first off...WE ARE HOME! YAY!!! Thank you EVERYONE for all the prayers and well wishes, they definitely helped us get our little dude home!

Here's the whole story as of my last sick post of Cameron:

Tuesday night Cameron was getting to the point of being lethargic. He just laid there and stared at the TV or slept right on the floor which is totally out of sorts of him. Wednesday morning he woke up and he was breathing very fast and just laid around without moving and wouldn't eat but when he would drink he would shake really bad which scared the crap out of me. There was something obviously very wrong. I called the Dr's office and they said for him to come in ASAP. They check him out. He was wheezing, so they hooked him up to a neubulizer to help with the wheezing. During that treatment, they discovered he had an ear infection in the right ear. They check him Pulstat (oxygen levels) and noticed they were pretty low. They also at this point started to come to a conclusion that he most likely has asthma. They decided to try another in office neubulizer treatment and it didn't bring it up. Cam's Dr wanted him to go the St. Christopher's ER to get a xray to rule out pneumonia. I called Gerry and told him to meet me there. They took him back, got an xray, and it came back with pneumonia on the lower right lung. They also gave him ANOTHER neubulizer treatment and again, his oxygen levels did not go up. At that point, they decided that he needed to be admitted. They drew blood and sent that up to the lab. Wednesday/Thursday AM (very early AM) they took samples of his nose secretions and the test came back positive for RSV. So at this point, he had been diagnosed with:

RSV
Pneumonia in Lower Right Lung
Upper Respiratory Infection
Ear Infection
Asthma

So Cameron had a big list of problems. He was hooked up to oxygen Wednesday and they would only release him if he would be able to breath without extra assistance. They started him on 1 liter of oxygen. Everyday it went Up and Up and Up...we get to 4 liters at one point. We thought we were never going home. He was having a hell of a time at night keeping up with his oxygen levels. Cameron loves to sleep on his belly and that was making it drop. Finally by Friday night he had gotten down to 1 liter again and I had asked the nurse to get the Dr to come in the room. We talked about doing another type of oxygen delivery to him. Instead of the little nose prong things, we hooked him a tube connected to his shirt, blowing air at him directly since he was breathing through his mouth. It worked and by the next morning they took him off oxygen. He did drop during naps, but when he had no oxygen and was awake, he was up to about 97%. Finally the Dr decided to release him. We were beyond ecstatic!

Cameron did SO well with all the needles, breathing treatments, vital takings, etc. He was so good being cooped up in a tiny little room. He couldn't really get out of bed to move because he was hooked up to monitors and oxygen and it didn't reach far. The bed was a big giant metal crib and he just laid there like a good little boy. We are so proud of him. I think we also have a whole new level of patience. Once he was back to getting perky, he would have his hissy fits in his crib, throwing his juicy cup etc, but we dealt with it as best as we could.

I can not even explain how nice is it to finally be home with him. It has made me so thankful that he did not get this as a tiny baby since it could of been so worse. I'm also keeping all those other little babies in the Children hospital that are not fortunate to come home, it breaks my heart and I can only being to touch the surface of how those parents feel.

Thank you again everyone for all the prayers and well wishes. Cameron is now home, eating, playing, hitting and screaming at me like he used to :-) He still gets tired very fast and is still getting neubulizer treatments and antibiotics along with steroid treatments. He is getting better everyday!

In the Hopsital...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

I am only going to make this really quick since I don't have tons of time to really update. As of Wednesday afternoon, Cameron had to go to the ER at St.Christopher's Children's Hospital in Philly. They admitted him after finding he had low oxygen levels. I will explain more about that later. Turns out Cam has RSV, Pneumonia on the lower right lung, Upper Respiratory Infection and a small case of asthma. They are optimistic he can come home tomorrow as long as they can get him off oxygen and breathing fine with no problems. I will give a big long explanation and update when we are home and all better!

Sick Day Home...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So the little dude is still sick. He was up every hour last night whimpering. It was so sad. I woke up this morning and he had no desire to eat or anything. Just wanted to cuddle (which was fine by me). By the late morning we were finally eating small things. We have had 2 bananas so far today and some graham crackers. I made him NooNoo's (noodles) and that was a big hit, he ate the whole bowl for lunch. He didn't really want to go down for nap, but once I put him in there with his juice cup (water only of course), he was okay.
Not to say we didn't have any fun at all...I mean as soon as I say Barney or Elmo is on TV we get this....maybe hes faking...

Another Cold....grrrrrr

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So Cameron has had an AWESOME weekend. Finally, after months of not going out to eat with him because he was not restaurant worthy, he went out to dinner on Friday and did AWESOME...thinking it was just a fluke though. So Saturday while Ger was having his annual Post Season GFFL Gathering, I took Cameron to the mall with me (which usually is a disaster too) and we stayed a whole 2.5 hours with no problem, had lunch together, shopped and was just plan ole' happy! Trying to push my luck further, we went to Red Robin for dinner on Saturday night and again, he was AWESOME! I think we may have an acceptable little boy to take out now :) Sad to say though...he has got one nasty cold now. He woke up this morning, puffy eyes, bad cough, runny nose, miserable little dude. He just spent the day curled up on our laps watching the same Elmo video about 10 times. He had no desire to eat or anything. I hate that, you feel so helpless. You have no idea whats bothering them or what doesn't feel good. He didn't nap very long, maybe 1 hour total and was in bed by 7pm. Poor thing...look how pitiful he looked today...

dun wan it...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

I'm trying...I am trying so hard to make sure my child has nice manners. Up until now, he does. He is the sweetest little man and says please and thank you without having to be asked. Now if you hand him something he just blurts out "DUN WAN IT!" I keep telling him to say "No thank you" He will repeat me, but still continues to say "DUN WAN IT!" While its cute and all, it is getting a little old.

Speaking of thing getting old...

Bert & Ernie & Elmo...Used to love them...we only have 2 sesame street DVDs but they have gotten so old, I made Ger go out last night and get a 3 pack. I needed change. Its neat though...I love watching it and seeing the things I remember from when I was little...like "The Lady Bug Picnic" or "Sing a Song"...its so cool to watch Cameron dance to the songs that I used to dance to.

Bananas & MomMom

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Mmmmmmm "nanas" Can we say obsessed?!?! Seriously! The other day I get a phone call from Gerry and get asked "Can a toddler overdose on potassium??" Why??? Because he ate 3.5 bananas for breakfast! He's a tapeworm! Its crazy! I've actually ran out of them this morning and called Gerry and told him we have a BIG problem and need to pick some up on the way home STAT or my morning tomorrow will be BAD. Its the first thing he demands when he wakes up. God help you if you don't have any!

So on New Years day I went to Target and got 3 photos printed. The one is this pic of Cameron and his MomMom from Thanksgiving day. I got 1 extra copy to let Cameron play with. We have not put down the picture since. Yesterday Cameron and I spent the day together and I really wish I would have turned on the video camera. He walked around ALL day (the day before too mind you) with his picture of MomMom. He hugged it, kissed it, sang to it, showed her Elmo, watched TV with it, try to feed her crackers and cookies. It was hilarious. Also...side note here...notice that second picture...look at that pucker I mentioned about before!

New Years Resolutions....

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So I decided to give my self little photography resolutions for this year:

1. Blog everyday...even if it doesn't include photos.
2. Attend 2 photography seminars (found them just need to sign up!)
3. Work more on spreading my photography business by really promoting my portfolio building prices.

3 resolutions isn't too hard to maintain so lets see if it really happens :-)
