Ugh, what a week...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So yes, there is a reason why I am so behind on blogging. It has been quiet a week for us here. Gerry left Monday for New Orleans (he's back now thank god). Cameron has been battling the SAME cold for 4...yes 4...weeks now. Finally on Wednesday after hearing wheezing and constant crankiness (for DAYS...nothing made the child happy...it was tough) I finally called the dr and told them I wanted him to be looked at. The dr confirmed she heard wheezing and put him on a nebulizer in the office for 5 minutes. That was the worst 5 minutes ever. My poor baby did nothing but scream, kick, and cry to the point where he pretty much conked out from being so tired from freaking out. It was so sad. But amazingly, it really really helped him. Before we left the dr's office, the dr requested we get an xray of the chest to check and make sure it wasn't pneumonia. So Thursday morning we went to the hospital, got an xray, or tummy picture as we called it to Cameron, and it came back negative for pneumonia. Again, Cameron was still a happy camper and back to normal since he had the treatment at the dr's office. Here's where it gets great...Friday Cameron goes to daycare and was in a super pleasant mood. Around 11am I get a phone call from daycare...of course my first thought was either he was super cranky or he hit someone (hey my kid is a big hitter so it wouldn't of surprised me lol). My heart totally sunk when I hear "Mrs.K...this is Cameron's daycare...there was an accident here at school..." Oh My God...I knew it wasn't good. Apparently while playing with dress up clothes with the other kids, he found a piece of wire, almost like part of a wire hanger, in the dress up box and he put it in his mouth and hit the back, the soft pallet area. He was bleeding, 911 was called. Of course, my car was being fixed so I freaked and called for my father who works only 2 desks down from me, and he drives me to daycare. The township police called me on the way there and informed me that the paramedics were transporting him to the local hospital to be checked out. CRAP! My father and I keep driving and we got to the hospital before the ambulance got there. I was able to be there as soon as they opened the van doors and he was crying and went right to me. Ugh my heart was broken. My poor baby was in pain. Luckily, he just had an abrasion and there is nothing they can do for it other than just give him so antibiotics and Tylenol/Motrin. So yeah, needless to say...blog hasn't been updated because little man has kept up very busy. He is fine now...loving all the cheese, french toast, ice pops, lolly pops he can get since he has to have soft foods to help avoid irritation. ANYWAY...Gerry was so proud of him for being such a big boy with all of this stuff, he got him some awesome gifts when he came home...A new Thomas book and a HUGE dog that is bigger than his bed so it stays downstairs for him to play with.

Can you tell Ger and Cam were happy to see each other?!

MMmmmmm Ice pops in the tubby...perfect cure for a sore mouth.

Barb-in-Law...This one's for you!

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

So I decided to pull out my camera again during tubby time and snap some more pictures of my little ham. I started to chimp (look at my photos after I take them to see if I got a good shot) when I saw THIS! Barb in Law...I think he's trying to master your eye! Look closely...he's learning from you and Michael :-) I know I see "the eye" there...

On another note...look at those beautiful blue eyes. Where do they come from? 18 months, still haven't changed and Ger and I DON'T have blue eyes! I am praying they don't change because of how beautiful they are. And look at those lashes! Beautiful lashes are always wasted on boys aren't they lol.

FALLing behind...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Ummm where did this cool weather come from?! You don't have to answer that because I love it anyway. I am SO glad to be out of the shorts and into nice jeans and fun fun novelty socks. YES, I did say NOVELTY socks. I love them...call me a dork, but I love them and have them for every occasion...Hell, I even wore them on my wedding day AND made Ger wear a pair too. Yes...100% DORK here.

Anyway...I started to fall behind on my blogging and post pictures of the Man him self.

Tubby time has been getting more fun as he likes to play more and more in the tub. We are still trying to learn that if he wants to play in the tub he needs to SIT and not stand. It scares the heck out of me when he stands in the tub. I keep thinking he's gonna smack his head on the spout. Speaking of the spout, he has learned that water comes out of it and if he sticks his head under it he gets a free drink! Fun!!! Here's some fun tubby time photos....notice the last photo. I took the plug out to drain the tub and he found it and tried putting it back...kid knows how to make tubby time to keep going. Smart lil' bugger.

Lets Go Cart...

Look what Ger made for Cameron! Home made cardboard go cart with home made Elmo on the side. Isn't he crafty haha.

What happens to the car when a toddler has time to play with it?! Rear view mirrors come off and full blown temper tantrum comes out.

Family Love

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

I love it when these 2 get together. They get SO excited when they see each other. "MANNI!" "BUDDY!" They love to give each other cousinly love. It's so cute to watch. Reminds me of how my little (well not so little anymore) cousins and I used to be. I only pray that these 2 (soon to be 3 in December) will always remain this close with each other.

Happy Birthday PopPop...

Labels: Uncategorized | Post a Comment

Saturday was my father's birthday and we celebrated it on Sunday. We started out the morning with home made raised doughnuts which Cameron didn't care for and Madeline just ate the butter and sugar off of (sacrilege in me and my sisters book), than we made our way out to Indian Walk for a choo choo train ride for the kiddos and than a carousal ride. Nap time along with lots of screaming (Cam was WAY over tired) and than lots of little giggles, dinner, and pie to end out the night. Cam was majorly accident prone today too. Scraped his little cheek on a big big rock, than somehow managed to pull something off Nan's coffee table and got a nice big bruise on his forehead. Daycare is gonna think we did something to him haha. He is fine, just a few scrapes and bruises, but isn't that what being a boy is all about?!?! Here are some pictures to show the day...

Cameron & Maddie found that playing in a suite case is just THE BEST. Hey...whatever keeps them quiet right?!

Cam LOVED the choo choo too...
